Our Beliefs

Scripture

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. In the Scriptures, God reveals himself, his truth, his will, and his salvation through Jesus Christ.

God

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Humanity

We believe that every human is created in the image of God. Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death.

Sin

We believe that all humanity is fallen and sinful. Sin separates every person from God and renders us unable to save ourselves. Only through the atoning death and resurrection of Jesus Christ can we be saved.

Jesus

We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood on the cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

Salvation

We believe that all men are lost and face the judgment of God, that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation, and that repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ results in regeneration by the Holy Spirit. We believe that God will reward the righteous with eternal life, and that He will banish the unrighteous to punishment in hell.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who indwells every Christian, enables them to live a godly life, and empowers them with gifts for Christian service.

The Church

We believe in the one true Church composed of all faithful believers in Christ and that every local church, where the Word of God is believed and preached and the sacraments of baptism and communion are practiced, is an expression of this universal body.

The Resurrection

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved unto the resurrection of eternal life and the lost unto the resurrection of damnation and eternal punishment.
